CITO Events are a chance for geocachers to give back to their local spaces and communities, and may involve tree planting, litter pick up, or even habitat restoration. From September 17–24, you can even earn a special souvenir by attending one.
Event time: 1pm 1-2 hours depending on amount found.
Location: Side of steep bank, litter removal
Thank you in advance for the assistance.
We will be heading down the bank nearby to my Geocache location.
Within the depths you will find some people have dumped some rubbish and also whatever else we find.
The Bank we will be working on is quite steep so be prepared to climb a few hills, or cart the rubbish to the truck.
Bring good sturdy footwear as we wouldn't want you slipping up, gumboots maybe if they aren't too loose.
I will be supplying plastic gloves, and I have a few pairs of gardening gloves that can be used, but you are welcome to bring your own.
I will have disinfectant with me as well.
I will also have a truck with me to remove the rubbish. Any donation to the cost of removal will be appreciated, but not required.
