A short litter-pick during CITO Week here in Aberdeen.
Today it's Cove's turn to benefit from the help of geocachers as they help remove litter from along a lovely path which leads through some planted woodland & alongside fields down towards Cove & the coastal path there.
This is quite a popular route with local residents & dog-walkers but, unfortunately, as with many popular sites, some of the visitors to them don't seem to like tidying up/taking their litter home and so it can begin to look a bit messy.
We are going out to do our bit to help improve the area!
Whilst out on a recce today, I discovered that the Cove Community Team have actually carried out a full clean-up of this area & so I have relocated the CITO just down the road to another woodland in Cove which also needs our help. (Hopefully the community team don't get there before us!)
The event will run from 3.00pm - 4.30pm with all litter-pickers & bags being provided by the Aberdeen City Countryside Ranger Service.
Parking is available in the community centre carpark (see updated coordinates & waypoint) or on side-streets nearby, as well as a regular local bus service with stops just up the road (see additional waypoints).
