Geocache Description:

This event is being held to celebrate International EarthCache Day - part of Earth Science Week.

The event starts at 11:00AM and will end at 12:00PM (although you are welcome to stay longer) on Sunday 9th October 2016.

Each year, the first Sunday of Earth Science Week is celebrated as International EarthCache Day.

It is a time to tell others about how much fun visiting and developing EarthCaches can be.

The theme for this year is “Our Shared Geoheritage” and aims to promote understanding and stewardship of natural wonders, landforms, and resources.

Each person who logs a “Found it” for an EarthCache on Sunday 9th October, receives a new digital souvenir for their Geocaching profile. The official souvenir will only be available on 9th October so keep your eyes peeled for a new EarthCache very close to this event!
