Geocache Description:

This is the next in our 'view' series to celebrate our 1,100th find.

The Monument of Memory and Honour is a  bronze structure which marks the spot where the leader of the Eoka Freedom fighters landed in 1954.

Between the parking area and the monument you will find the museum which houses the actual boat...the Saint George which arrived from Greece via Rhodes.

In this museum you will find leaflets which explain the importance of the Chloraka coast to the liberation struggle 1955 - 1959. Also details about the monument and other relative places of interest nearby.

The cache is a small plastic box containing only a log sheet, so please bring your own pen and replace the container exactly as found.
