Farm Creek Nature Preserve AKA Hart Nature Preserve is a small picturesque property acquired by the Norwalk Land Trust to permanently protect a vital part of Long Island Sound’s tidal estuary ecosystem from development. Take some time to sit on one of the natural benches and enjoy the view and appreciate the wildlife or walk around the property and identify the trees (most are clearly labelled).
You're looking for a camouflaged bison tube only big enough to hold the log hidden somewhere in the trees just off one of the foot-friendly walking paths next to the marsh. The top does not get removed from its hiding place to retrieve the log. BYOP!
The park closes at dusk so the cache cannot be hunted at night. There is parking for one or two cars through the gate (push the gate open if it's closed).
