Geocache Description:

Willow trees are a traditional feature in the Somerset landscape. Home to a wide range of wildlife, willows are also used in wetland treatment systems where they greatly improve water quality.

Main access is via the Steart Marshes visitor car park, signposted from main roads.

Hides, toilets and 2.1m height restriction barrier (main car park) are open daily 9am - 4.30pm.

The riverside caches may be more quickly accessed by walking from parking or limited public transport in Combwich village.

Please bring your own pen & tweezers may be needed for some caches.

Paths are wheelchair accessible but help may be needed to retrieve the cache.

Dogs are welcome on most paths but must be kept under close control at all times. There are no dog waste or litter bins on site, but some near the play fields in Combwich village. Please take all your rubbish home with you and try not to disturb the animals and plants living here.

You may wish to bring binoculars to best view the landscape and wildlife.

Please include any wildlife seen or heard in your logs.

Please note that all caches have been placed with permission from WWT Steart Marshes and The Environment Agency.
