10:00 to 11:00 am

Let's meet in the vicinity of garbage cans 5, 6 (the posted coordinates) and 7 to clean up the Royal Roads beach for the second CITO Week of 2016! There's some parking available here and more just to the southwest.

There have been CITOs on this beach before, but this time we'll head southwest from this spot towards the former gravel pit (now the Royal Bay development) to hit a new section of the beach. At the end of the event, we'll dispose of the collected garbage in the handy numbered garbage cans, of which there are no less than eight in the immediate vicinity. If anyone needs to use the facilities, the washroom building at the posted coordinates should be open during the event.

Please come prepared with the necessary equipment/tools for collecting beach garbage and wear clothing that's appropriate for the weather in case it's wet (we'll still go ahead even if it's raining). We'll bring some extra garbage bags, but it will be appreciated if you could bring your own. Don't forget some gloves in case you come across some sharp or yucky refuse.

The week from September 17-25 is the second CITO Week of 2016, so attendees of this event will earn a special CITO Week souvenir!
