This cache is placed at a locally well-known recreation site called Bob's Lake West. My geo-hubby and I camped here Labour Day weekend, 2016, and decided to place a cache here! As we finished packing up, we saw a small beaver swim across the shallows near the man-made dam. We said to each other, "That must be Bob! Bob the Beaver at his namesake lake!" Alas, our newly hidden cache was named.
*no idea where the name Bob's Lake West actually came from - I do not accept any responsibility for the accurateness of the naming claims ;)
Please make sure to abide by the catch per day limit & only use electric motors on small lakes! And remember - CITO is every day, everywhere! Respect our backcountry!
Rough road coming in, especially the last kilometer. Higher clearance vehicles recommened. (Potential for deep water & pot holes & slick mud, along with larger rocks & runoff channels on road). If attempting in wet weather, 4wd highly recommended. Not accessible in winter.
