Located in Hualien City, Zhongshan Road and Mingzhi intersection was Hualien prison site, covering more than 3,000 Quanta floor, original named "city wall park"(城垣園). After careful consolidation, activation of unused space, renamed "Freedom Square", echoing old this historic monuments prison area. It is the only remaining wall of the old prison and two watchtowers, has been a formal announcement for the county historic site. From the icy prison into the bright green of art, Freedom Square is creating new history.
