Skrzynka umieszczona we wrześniu 2016 przez Ola & Piotr z Polski ( Przemyśl). Przybyliśmy na Kretę na nasze 2 tygodniowe wakacje. Lokalizacja ma doskonały widok na wieś Aradena, most oraz Wąwóz Aradena. Ruszyliśmy z Agia Marina przez Chora Sfakion aż do Ag. Ioannis.

Note: Request: Near to the coordinates (N 35 ° 13.505 E 024 ° 03.858) is a fantastic box geo friends. wind & water https://coord.info/GC1J1E9 "Aradena." Cross the bridge. Take a 20 minute search (you do not need to go down). By the way, you would see an additional finding. You'll see a church, abandoned buildings and a beautiful view of the gorge. Bonus: If you have additional free time you can go down into the gorge and see the bridge from below. Do it for yourself and for your friends wind & water. You will be happy. Respect my request. This cache is placed in September 2016 by Ola & Peter with Poland (Przemyśl). We came to Crete on our 2 week vacation. The location has an excellent view of the village Aradena, bridge and Gorge Aradena. We moved from Agia Marina through Chora Sfakion until Ag. Ioannis.
Aradena is the site of the ancient Greek city that was called Aradin. It was a settlement in the Roman, Byzantine and Venetian period. Both Anopolis and Aradin were destroyed by the Ottoman Turks. Ruins of the ancient Aradin are to be found near the village of Aradena. Since 1947 no one lives in the village of Aradena. Bailey bridges are made of easy to assemble truss panels that can be quickly erected to replace a damaged bridge or to allow army vehicles and personnel to easily cross over a river or waterway.
