Enrique Mac-Iver Rodr铆guez (1844 - 1922) fue un abogado, pol铆tico y hombre de Estado chileno. En 1891, particip贸 en la revoluci贸n que derroc贸 al presidente Jos茅 Manuel Balmaceda, redactando el primer borrador del acta de su deposici贸n. Su participaci贸n le vali贸 ser nombrado al a帽o siguiente como Ministro de Hacienda por Jorge Montt 脕lvarez. Paralelamente a su labor pol铆tica, Mac-Iver desarroll贸 una importante labor como estudioso de la realidad nacional del pa铆s. Su atenci贸n se dirigi贸 preferentemente a los problemas que viv铆a Chile a finales del siglo XIX e inicios del siglo XX. Su obra m谩s famosa en ese sentido fue "La Crisis Moral de la Rep煤blica".


Enrique Mac-Iver Rodr铆guez (1844 - 1922) was a chilean lawyer, politician and man of State. In 1891, he participated in the revolution that overthrew then president Jos茅 Manuel Balmaceda, writing the first draft for the Deposition Act. This allowed him to be named Finance Minister on the next year by Jorge Montt 脕lvarez. Apart from his political life, Mac-Iver developed an important work as a scholar of the national reality of the country. His atention was mainly directed to the problems Chile had between XIX and XX centuries. His most famous work is "Moral Crisis of the Republic".
