Just returned from a trip to Japan to visit with our Air Force son and bring back his dog, Marty. I knew that my next Favorite Foreign Cache would have to be one from this trip! The container was purchased in Japan, as well as the log book which was purchased at Tokyo Tower. It is not a trade item, please leave it in the cache!
FTF can take the envelope which contains a 100 yen coin. Right now the equivalent is about 1 USD. There are some other assorted Japanese coins in the cache for initial trade items; please take only one and replace it with another trade item.
My favorite foreign cache in Tokyo would have to be GC38J50, Asakusa Kaminarimon. It was a regular sized cache hidden near the Kaminarimon gate of the Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa, Tokyo.
This is the description from the cache page:
I set up this container near "Asakusa Senso-ji Kaminarimon Gate". So there are many people here, You find the cache by stealth. Please keep your common sense to find it. Please take a picture of you in front of Kaminarimon Gate. We expect a pleasant photograph. About Senso-ji (visit link)
Here is my log from that day, September 2, 2016: So glad to find a full size cache for some travelers from the US. Took the only listed traveler in the cache. Thanks for the cache. #7612 Guess it's not as wordy as most of my logs usually are! But I did fit two travelers into the cache and the rest of my "group" visited.
