Yuria and Yeol of Londor are two very mysterious characters from the Dark Souls universe. Yoel has the power to “draw out [the] true strength” of people, making them more powerful. Although for this to happen the person must be a hollow and die multiple times before the next ritual. His backstory is mainly unknown, but we know that he is a pilgrim and therefore is very weak.His ability to make the “unkindled one” hollow is quite extraordinary and it is unknown how he does it.Being hollow means the one cannot die – instead simply loses their humanity as their bodies continue to deteriorate. Yuria’s backstory is just as confusing. We know that she has two sisters, Lillane, the younger and an unknown older sister. Together, they watch over the Sable Church of Londor. Yuria’s master is an unknown being named Darkstalker Kaathe, who has no known backstory so far. She wields a magical spell called “dark hand” and a sword called “Darkdrift”.
Anri and Horace of Astora are two warriors who have very interesting stories. Horace is a hollow, slowly losing his humanity and turning mad.Anri is neither Unkindled or Hollow, and is still sane. They journey together and aim to take out the lords of cinder. They are both part of a covenant called the blue sentinels.On a side note, Anri will always be the opposite gender to you, no matter what. This is so that when Yuria sets up you and Anri to be married, Anri being your ‘queen’, you will not both be the same gender. This is against the teachings of the Sable Church of Londor. Anri, along two different branches of time, will either be sacrificed as a part of the marriage, or will become hollow like her fellow traveller Horace. Whilst all this is happening, Horace descends further into madness and loses control.He runs from Anri before it’s too late and he turns on her. He ends up in the Smouldering Lake where you can face him, stopping him from returning as another hollow and breaking his cycle.
The fire keeper is an NPC whose armour set can be found in the locked tower next to the shrine. She allows you to sacrifice souls in return for greater power. There are many fire keepers around the place, but you only ever meet one in the third Dark Souls.She is arguably the most important character in the game. This is because without her you would not be able to access two of the endings.Also the fact that without her you could not level up except through Yoel, who can only do it five times.You can find two items throughout your journey. One of them being the eyes of a fire keeper, which allow you to betray her later on. If you decide to, refuse to let the flame die and take it for yourself. To do so you must strike her down and take the flame from her hands.
