P..p..p..pick up a picnic
The "High Road" twists and turns along the flanks of Garbh Bheinn and the Pap of Glencoe as it makes its way along the southern side of Loch Leven. Predominantly built by German prisoners of war in the First World War, it was the first permanent road to link Kinlochleven to the outside world, since General Caulfield came this way during the 1750s when he built a military road linking Tyndrum and Fort William, via the Devil's Staircase.
This picnic site sits on reclaimed land, where once a municipal landfill site once stood. Today it's a beautiful place to stop and enjoy a picnic lunch or watch the sun go down with a fish supper on your lap.
The cache is located on the other side of the road from the picnic site, be careful as you cross. There's a short walk up the hillside to the location, where a small clip lock container is hidden.
