Geocache Description:

Congratulations Maggie M (Reno, NV) FTF! St. Mary, Montana is an unincorporated village on the east side of Glacier National Park.  St. Mary, named for St. Mary Lake, is the eastern terminus of the Going to The Sun Road.  Less than 50 people reside in St. Mary during the winter months, however that number increases  by a few thousand once the park reopens each May.

You are searching for a XS cache container (a nasty nano).  Log only, no room for tradables, BYOP.  You may need a TOTT to extract the log

F.or the experienced GC'er this could be a quick P+G.  F.or the less experienced cache seeker, GZ is off of the highway in a large highway turn-off, so take your time, and enjoy the search.

As stated in the summary, St. Mary can be muggle central during summer months.  Although not necessary, this is a great spot to practice your stealth caching techniques.

Available year round, however winter driving in the St. Mary area should only be undertaken by experienced drivers f.amiliar with snow/ice covered Montana roads. Additional Area History: This area is home to the Blackfeet Confederacy which consists of four tribes (North Piegan, South Piegan, Blood, and Siksika. Originally from the Northern Great Lakes area, the Blackfeet were one of the first tribes to move west, thought to have been pushed out by their arch enemies the Cree People. The Blackfeet began to roam the plains area from Saskatchewan to the Rocky Mountains. The Blackfeet Reservation, in NW Montana, was established by treaty in 1855.
