One of a series of caches encouraging the travelling geocacher to explore Metz Road, Chinamans Gully Road, and Old Hillgrove Road into Hillgrove village and back out to Waterfall Way via Stockton Road. On the way there are opportunities to explore the vistas and mining history of the area.
From this vantage point looking East you can see the village of Hillgrove, only about 4km away as the crow flies. It is across Bakers Creek Gorge (Metz Gorge), though you don't really see the gorge itself from here. You are fairly high on the ridge here at about 1038m. The cache is a PVC container with loads of room for swaps.
