El Lugar
La Plaza Constituyentes se encuentra entre las calles Santiago del Estero, 4 de Enero, Junín y Urquiza. Durante el siglo XIX allí estaba la quinta del Sr. Clucellas, y es por eso que durante mucho tiempo se la conoció con esa denominación o Plaza del Cementerio, porque se tenía una equivocada idea de que en ese lugar existió un campo/santo.
Durante el gobierno del Dr. Ignacio Crespo (1910-1911) y la intendencia del Dr. Edmundo Rosas (1908-1912),se compra la manzana mencionada. Para preservarla de los caballos se la rodea con alambre y se colocan farolas. Respetando al denominación que le asignaron los vecinos desde 1889, se da el nombre de Plaza Constituyentes, en homenaje al Congreso ubicado en nuestra ciudad, que redactó la Constitución Nacional de 1853.
Desde la década del ‘20 se concretaron varias reformas, y recién en 1924 se quitó el alambrado perimetral, convirtiéndola en un paseo frecuentado. En esta época se va conformando, también, el paisaje a su alrededor con la construcción del Colegio Nuestra Señora del Calvario, la Iglesia de los padres Agustinos Recoletos (1929), el Mercado Norte (1928) y viviendas particulares.
Durante la intendencia de Don Francisco Bobbio (1937-1941) se lleva a cabo un plan de embellecimiento, que revaloriza este espacio verde. Varias fueron las obras que se llevaron a cabo con el correr de los años. En la actualidad tiene una abundante arboleda y se ha colocado un monolito en conmemoración a la Reforma de la Constitución de 1994.
The Place
Plaza Constituyentes is located between the streets Santiago del Estero, 4 de Enero, Junin and Urquiza. El Cache
Para la confección de este caché se utilizaron elementos simples tales como una maceta de arcilla, flores artificiales, musgo y pegamento. La idea es que el caché esté bien a la vista y que pase totalmente desapercibido, por eso elegimos dejarlo en un oratorio público, junto con otras flores que ya estaban allí. Envase plástico, bien camuflado con el entorno, tapa a rosca, conteniendo logbook, y recuerdos *No Tiene Lapiz*
The Cache
For the preparation of this cache simple elements such as a clay pot, artificial flowers, moss and glue were used. The idea is that the cache is well in sight and that pass completely unnoticed, so we chose to leave in a public oratory, along with other flowers that were already there.
