When opened on July 24th 1996, this was the first of its kind in Minnesota. Built over the Partridge River to carry both vehicle and pedestrian traffic, it was the winner of the 1997 American Public Works Association Public Works Project of the Year Award of Merit.
Constructed of four laminated timber arch beams with three large pins connecting two arches to each other and the foundation on each side of the bridge. The actual bridge is suspended from these arches.
Besides the vehicle lane there is also a walking/biking trail on this bridge.
