The Royal Palace of Naples is a palace, museum, and historical tourist destination located in central Naples.
THE ENTRANCE TO THE PALACE IS FROM PIAZZA TRIESTE E TRENTO, EXACTLY IN FRONT OF THE BAR GAMBRINUS: IT IS THE SAME AS FOR THE NATIONAL LIBRARY.
It was one of the four residences near Naples used by the Bourbon Kings during their rule of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies from 1734 to 1860).
The building includes The Gardens and the Theatre San Carlo, all overlooking Piazza Trieste e Trento, Piazza Municipio and Via Acton.
Inside the eastern wing of the Royal Palace there is also the Victor Emmanuel III National Library, it is the third largest library in Italy, after the national libraries in Rome and Florence.
Timetable of the national library: Monday-Friday: from 8:30 AM to 7 PM; Saturday: from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
The entrance to the Gardens is free, and open every day but Wednesday, from 9 o'clock to 7 PM.
In case of questions from the guardians, you can answer that you want to visit the national library, if it is during its open days and hours.
