High River Multi-cache Multi-Cache

The Town of High River has a long and colourful history tied to the establishment of ranching in the Foothills to the west of Town.  For example, three of the Big Four (George Lane, Patrick Burns & Archie McLean) who financed the first Calgary Stampede, considered High River to be their homebase. Guy Weadick, the promoter of the 1912 Calgary Stampede lived for a time in High River.

The intent of this Multi-cache is to have you observe and learn some of the early history of High River.  At each of the three locations, there is information needed to be gathered.  The fourth and final cache is an actual cache container with a log to record your find.  There is a Tim Horton's gift card for the FTF.  Also Town of High River pins for the first 12 finds or until the supply runs out.
