Geocache Description:

The cache is located in Smith Mountain Lake State Park, Huddleston, Virginia. Be sure to visit the Visitor Center and Discovery Center to learn about the area's varied history. While geocaching in this beautiful park take advantage of the opportunities to hike, picnic, bike, camp and enjoy a variety of water related activities.  The cache has been placed with permission and in compliance with all requirements for placing a cache in a Virginia State Park.


Maps of the park can be obtained at the Visitor Center. Park at the picnic/playground area which is across the access road from the Osprey Point Trail. A half mile walk along the trail will take you to the site of Tortured Cedar Tree Cache. The trail is well maintained and will lead you through a forested area and along the shore of Smith Mountain Lake to a unique bonsai looking tree.
