Geocache Description:

Another hide in the Sonyea State Forest.  Entrance to the forest is from Union Corners Rd off Presbyertan Road.

After the September BeeHive breakfast a group made up of GadgetCHC, candlestick, stump14, lindenfeet, sambecker92 and lpaulr set out to find a few caches in Sonyea State Forest.  Usually the challenge is finding the cache and not the trailhead.  Stimied when the traffic GPS suggested roads that went through the corrections facility. The security staff there had different ideas on that.   After much driving we finally found our way to the trailhead.  This is a delightful area with great views. After decending into the valley carved by Keshequa Creek you will hiking along the creek and the paths of the Genesee Valley Canal and subsequent Railroad.  Having made the trek down here we decided to add a hide.  Using the Altoid tin that was my door prize from the BeeHive breakfast  candlestick and I added one more potential smiley for your visit as the rest of the crew returned up the path.  The container is hidden just off the trail.  FTF prize is a Disney trading pin or a classic coin from the day of my mother's youth.  As usual - BYOP. There is minimum room for trade items in the container. Congratulations to GadgetCHC for first to find.
