Quite often after talking story with someone about a certain trail/hike I have built a grandiose image in my mind only to be disappointed once I actually experienced it. Well, you can trust me when I say that this hike is "All It's Cracked Up To Be." The views are amazing. In fact, just 1.4 miles to the west of this cache one can see the ocean on both sides of the mountains. I stumbled upon this trail in May of this year (2016) when I had a day off and nothing else to do. So I ventured up Kealia Trail to explore the many jeep trails and to pick up as many geocaches as possible. I never intended to venture out to the ridge line and was not even aware that there was a trail back this way, but after taking a slight wrong turn (long story) I ended up on this scenic trail. It was late in the day and I was well along in my travels so I did not want to turn around and go back the way I had come, so I trusted that this trail would take me back to the Kealia trails. Thankfully, I was correct. But before leaving this trail I decided to drop a cache along the way to hopefully draw more geocachers out to these views.
Enjoy!
