What is Yacht Rock you ask? Its the smooth lighter rock from the period of the mid 70's to the mid 80's.
Hall and Oates are the most successful duo in pop music history. Largely influenced by both rock and roll and rhythm and blues, they developed a hybrid of the two styles, dubbed "Blue Eyed Soul". Hits such as She's Gone, Rich Girl, Kiss on My List, Maneater, and many more, kept them at or near the top of the charts during the Yacht Rock period. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April 2014.
