You will need a boat, canoe, kayak, paddle board, or some other kind of floating transportation to access this cache (unless you can walk on water). This is a micro cache given the location. I was seated in a kayak when hidden. In total it was 36 minutes shore to shore in placing this one but I was paddling hard as daylight fades faster now days. Plan for about an hour for this one. While your here there are several others water accessible caches in the park.
Watch out for the rowing club boats! They will run over you if you happen to get in their path! You have been warned.
Micro, so log only. Bring a pen or preferred writing stick. Be prepared to go under the tree canopy and watch for snakes. Happy hunting!
FTF honors go to Curious GEOrge 3!!!!

Special permission to hide caches in St. Louis County parks is NOT needed as long as the Groundspeak rules are followed. "Blanket Permission" has been worked out in advance with the park service. DO NOT CALL THE PARK as they cannot handle the calls. The Groundspeak cache reviewer does need to know exactly how and where the caches are hidden and what type of containers are used. The geocaching liaisons will notify the park service of new caches. Remember NO AMMO BOXES or PVC PIPE caches. |
