The eight scultptures on display at the Sound Transit Headquarters in Seattle, before being installed along the trails. Commissioned by Sound Transit in 2002, they were created by artists Whitesavage and Lyle.
At the posted coordinates, you will see an orange sculpture. This is waypoint A. There are eight sculptures, and therefore eight waypoints. As you visit each one, try not to zip through collecting data. Instead, pause for a minute and look at the pieces the artists created. Try to appreciate the art, the forms they created, and the process, time, and thought that went into creating them. It's a value to the community to have installations like these on our pedestrian trails!
For this and each of the other sculptures, locate the title plaque affixed to the work. Using the italics text beneath the title, extract the letter at the specified index, ignoring any spaces and punctuation. Then convert the letters to numbers using A=1, B=2, C=3, J=0, K=1, L=2, etc
