Placed in a scenic and historic park in the vicinity of Lake Bloomington.
The original Davis Lodge was dedicated in 1932 in honor of H.O. Davis, editor of the Daily Pantagraph. The site of the lodge overlooks the widest expanse of Lake Bloomington and has been the site of various concessions and restaurants over the years. The original lodge had two huge fireplaces which required 50 tons of stone to construct. These fireplaces still remain and provide a warm atmosphere for the rental guests.
