The 1st of October is Tokyo Citizen’s Day.
On this day in 1898, the State of Tokyo was established.
We, the members of geocaching groups in Tokyo, celebrate this occasion by hiding this cache, along with many other caches, all over our city.
Many city-run parks, museums, zoos, and other attractions will be free on this day.
The current Tokyo Bay seaside is different from the old days.
With the development of Japan, Tokyo Bay is being reclaimed in a wide range, also has changed dramatically there is also a renovation of the river.
Cash point is the location that just hit the coastline in the early Meiji era of rapid map. (Fig. 1)

目黒川の河口は今と昔では大きく異なります。
現在の東京湾の海辺と昔の海辺はずいぶんと異なっています。
日本の発展に伴い、東京湾は大きく埋め立てられ、また河川の改修もあり大きく様変わりしました。
キャッシュポイントは、明治初期の迅速地図ではちょうど海岸線に当たる場所です。（図１）
漁師町の裏手になります。
では、ここが目黒川の河口だったのかというとそうではなく、少し手前で目黒川は大きく北に向きを変えていました。
その目黒川に沿って漁師町がありましたがキャッシュ設置場所から北に曲がって伸びている道が海岸線になります。
