Geocache Description:

I noticed this memorial near the hotel where I've been staying and thought that it could use a cache to help bring people to the memorial. And don't be an armchair cacher and just use the internet - go to the memorial to get the answer!

The cache is not at the posted coordinates, but you'll have to go there to get the information to get the coordinates to its hiding spot.

There is a memorial in New Rochelle to a woman and her father for being friends of dumb animals (back in the day, since animals couldn't speak, they were referred to as dumb).  The plaque is mounted over what used to be a horse trough (according to a 2008 edition of New Rochelle's "The Preserver").  The article states that this woman helped to organize the flegdling ASPCA (American Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) and it is said that "her deeds of kindness will live on for many years".  Who is this woman who was such a friend to people and animals alike?  Go to the posted coordinates and find out!  Enter her first name into the checker (5 letters, all lower case) and it will give you the coords to the nearby final.  It will also give you a spoiler hint for the hide as well.
