How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

This cache is one of three nearby caches that is dedicated to hardworking educators. Cafeteria workers, paraprofessionals, teachers, coaches; technologists, administrators, central staff; support staff and superintendents: we appreciate all that you do for the success of our students, schools, and community.

The nearby building is one of 20 educational service centers, and its purpose is to provide services to the schools within a defined geographic region. One a daily basis, you will find educators from surrounding districts attending professional development here, and they’re all working to better meet the needs of their students and teachers.

Since there were no other close caches, we thought it would be fun to place a few here to give educators an opportunity to geocache during a break from their session or during lunch. The caches are quick finds, but bring your own pen. On some days, the service center is filled with learners, so watch for muggles; otherwise, there should be plenty of easy parking and access.

It’s always more fun to read a thoughtful log, so if you’re here for a training, please share something you’ve learned today! If you’re just stopping by to cache, share something you’ve recently learned.

This cache has been placed with permission from a Region 10 Deputy Executive Director.
