(Version 2.0 Moved this cache to a safer spot and no need to dig through rocks and no bush whacking nessisary. Those are our favorite kind of caches, right?) (new version 3.0 after the fire!)
This cache placement is in a spot I use to love visiting when I was a kid, on the east side of Annadel State Park. Back then I called it 'Eagle Look Out' and you'll understand why, once you reach it. The location provides a stunning view of the Annadel Gap (valley).
Within this special area of Annadel, there are many hidden quarries. From time long ago when workers mined out the basalt rocks in blocks to be shipped down to San Francisco to build the roads and across the seas (some went to building the St. Rose church in Santa Rosa and some when to the old part of Petaluma). Take time to look for these quarries and be transported back in time. Look for the small old tin shack located along Two Quarry trail.
The cache is along the old Basalt Trail of Annadel on it's way down to connect with Two Quarry (junction trail way point: N 38 25.992 W 122 36.521) Just down the hill from the cache, in the stand of redwoods, you'll find 'The Rock Farm'. Check out those boulders! Some crazy bikers ride their bikes down this drop off. How do they do it?? Also, just down the trail from the cache, by the 'rock farm' boulders, you will find there's a waterfall coming down off to your left of the trail. Check it out!
Cache is a camoed cylindrical container. Log sheet in a zip bag with a pencil, in a pill container inside the cache. And some trinkets
Can hold geocoins and good sized TBs
