As you come into the park on hwy. 16 you will turn right onto SR 617 for about .9 of a mile then turn left on SR 750 taking you into the park and toward the boat ramp. Park at the cords given for parking and you will be close to both trails from there. Go across the road and head up the CCC trail and you will see two large oak trees that have fallen from one hill to the other but are still more that twelve feet off the trail above you. The cache is smallso bring your own writting stick. Always look before sticking your hands into a hiden area just in case there is a snake cooling off around the water flowing through here.

Most parks may ask you to “not” make the cache for Premium members to allow the general plumbic the opportunity to hunt while visiting the park. All my caches have been placed by permission at Hungry Mother State Park.
Virginia State Parks : Permit required plus a geocaching sticker must be applied to the cache (available from park ranger). This process has been established:
1. Find a spot to place the cache.
2. Contact the appropriate authority and request permission to place cache AT THAT SPOT.
3. Obtain permission and sticker.
4. Place cache.
Note the change...technically the cache is not placed until permission is granted.
