旧甲州街道の鶴川宿は、上野原宿の次の宿場です。
上野原の大地から、鶴川に降りてきて鶴川の渡しを渡ると鶴川宿の入り口です。
鶴川宿は、1713年に開かれた小さな宿場です。
その鶴川宿の入り口に大きなケヤキの木があります。
この木は水天宮の大ケヤキといわれています。
木の根元には小さな水天宮が祀られています。
私はケヤキの木の近くにキャッシュを設置しました。
