The location is a junction of a main storm canal coming from Buje. The canal is used to route stormwater from the whole area from Buje to Umag and it also irrigates the fields. In autumn of 2010, after a series of heavy rainfalls, the canal overflowed and flooded the Komunela neighbourhood. After that it was decided that the canal should be renovated and redirected. The junction splits the canal into two parts - the northern one going through Komunela into the sea and the southern one around the city and through Moela into the Posoj bay.
The best way to get to the cache is to park in Špinel and get to the crossing of the Špinel road and the canal. Then you can jump into the canal and walk south until you get to the junction.
