There's a group of cachers from Lincolnshire camping here for a few days between Christmas and New Year and when we saw that the pub we were staying at had a skittle alley we thought it would be a great way to spend the evening and meet a few local cachers.
There are two main elements to the evening- a carvery meal and the skittle tournament.
A fee of £25 has been paid to secure the cost of booking the skittle alley and room for the evening. There will be a collection plate at the event to receive voluntary donations towards covering this cost Any excess money raised will be donated to the Devon 2017 Mega Committee.
If you want to join in please note the following:
- Each cacher attending should log a "Will Attend". If you cache together as a team please state in your log how many people you will be bringing and how many will be having the carvery meal. Please do this by 16th December if possible. If we do not have at least 20 people wanting the carvery meal by this date we will not be able to use the skittle alley and the event will have to be cancelled.
- You will be responsible on the night for paying the cost of your meal at £9.95 per person and for all of your drinks.
- If you change plans and can no longer attend, or if there is a change to the number of people in your party, please log a note detailing any changes. If possible do this by 16th December
- If you want to have a starter and/or main course then you can just order from the menu on the night!
- It is not necessary to eat, play skittles or buy a drink in order to attend this geocaching event, although it would be great if everyone joins in!
- There will be a log book to sign on the night.
The format for the evening will be as follows:
6pm onwards: Meet, drink, chat swap/discover trackables etc
7pm: Carvery Meal
8pm: Skittles Tournament (The exact format for this will depend on numbers)
10pm: Presentation of trophies including FTF
