Summit above Needles Lodge Traditional Cache

Another Hiking cache near Ogden Summit! Walk, Run, Hike, Bike, or Ride the Tram (Slacker) to get with-in .17 miles of this cache at the Needles Lodge. But you will have to hike the remainder.  This cache is in the prominent rocks above the lodge.  It is only .17 miles away but about 500 feet up!

We hiked up here as a family from the parking lot in order to get a 15 mile hike for my youngest son for his hiking merit badge.  Some of the family decided that the lodge was a good stopping point and when those of us got up on top we waved at them from this spot. We decided to place a cache to mark our summit point and because it is such a cool view!

  To get to the cache, please follow the trail to the crest South of this cache and then hike up the ridge. The last little bit has a faint trail to the summit so try to avoid destroying the vegetation.  Please do not throw rocks or anything because there are a number of people below you. If you know any of the people at the lodge, be sure to wave to them.
