As you drive to this cache, you will see how nature has provided some regrowth of an area that had been devastated by the Sept. -Oct. 2011 wildfire.The Bastrop County Complex fire was the most destructive wildfire in Texas history.The loss of the towering pines was heartbreaking as was the loss of 1,691 residential structures.Hopefully in time, decades of growth will bring back the tall Loblolly pine trees that once dominated the landscape.
