This old tree was used as a mail drop off when the mail coach came through on its route to Mt Gambier. The mail was placed in a bag and hung of a hook in the hollow of the tree trunk. Sadly this tree was burned during the Ash Wednesday fires in 1983. The charred remains still stand. You are looking for a small black container, bring a pen.
