Il Lago Laus è immerso nel verde ed è caratterizzato da una sorta di isolotto tanto che il suo secondo nome è “Lago della Moutta”, un termine occitano che sta per “zolla di terra”. Stando ad una voce tradizionale l’isolotto potrebbe essere artificiale poiché vi erano state ritrovate incisioni rupestri. Località religiosa? Ricovero per animali?
Le rive del lago sono basse e perfette, se il clima lo permette, per immergere i piedi nell'acqua e trascorrere piacevolmente la giornata.

Dal rifugio Selleries si parte seguendo la segnaletica per la Cristalliera (numero 339) lungo il sentiero che scende leggermente per poi, una volta passato il grande masso ed il corso d'acqua, salire abbastanza ripidamente verso un colletto presso il quale si incontra un bivio con un cartello di legno.
L'opzione più veloce è quella di prendere a destra (Lago Laus 10 minuti) e con percorso quasi pianeggiante si raggiunge il Lago Laus passando accanto a vecchie bergerie dove è stato ricavato un piccolo bivacco utile in caso di freddo e pioggia (se lo utilizzate lasciate tutto in ordine, assicuratevi che la stufa sia spenta e lasciate qualcosa per i prossimi visitatori!).

La seconda opzione è quella imboccare il sentiero in salita a sinistra per raggiungere il Lago La Manica a 2.365 m e poi da lì scendere verso il Gao Laus con un piccolo anello.

Durata: ca 45 minuti se vai direttamente, ca 1 ora e 15 se passi prima dal Lago della Manica.

The Lake Laus is surrounded by greenery and is characterized by it's small island so that it's also name "Lago della Moutta" while Moutta is an Occitan word for "clod".
According to a traditional narrative the island could be artificial because there had been found petroglyphs. Maybe it's a religious places or an Animal shelter?
The banks of the lake are low and perfect if the weather is fine, to soak your feet in the water and spend a nice day at the lake.

From the refuge Selleries you descend the steps following the signs for the glass case (number 339) on the trail that descends slightly and then, once past the large boulder and the stream, climb quite steeply to a collar from which meets a fork with a wooden sign. The quickest option is to take a right (Lake Laus 10 minutes) and an almost flat path you reach Lake Laus passing alongside old sheepfold where a small bivouac useful in case of cold and rain was made (if you use it let everything in order, make sure that the heater is turned off and leave something for the next visitors!).

The second option is to take the uphill path on the left to reach Lago della Manica at 2,365 m and from there down to the Lago Laus with a small loop walk.

Duration: about 45 minutes if you go straight, about 1 hour and 15 minutes passing by the upper lake Lago della Manica.
