Maple Triad Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

K.E.T.: DNF for me today. The track is too overgrown for me to want to come back, so time to archive.

Geocache Description:

This Maple Triad (Sugar Maple) is best reached from Mineah Rd off Rt.13. Parking for one car at the end. If you want to do it in connection with the "Red Maple" cache, I suggest you bring a machete.

Sugar maples should be familiar to you by now, but how about the huge wild grape vine? It is up ahead on the right, just before the track turns into the field and away from the overgrown trail. That one is too close to "Red Maple"for a cache.

I tried walking along the edge of the field, to cut across to the Mineah extension off Ringwood, but had to give up. All the deer trails through the hedgerow were too steep into a ditch, for it to be prudent to try, even with the walking stick. Maybe at the very top of the hill it's better?

The overgrown track, between "Red Maple" and this, "Maple Triad" cache, is filled with thorns and vines crossing the trail.

The cache is a tied in, camoed, "micro" pill bottle. You'll see the arrows on the lid to show that it's a "Push hard to open and close" kind. Please BYOP and put everything back as you found it, with the rubber band, no longer on your finger, but around the log and the bag tightly sealed. Please re-camo nicely. If something seems odd or missing, please mention it in the log.
