The posted coordinates will bring you to Ransom Parkette in the heart of Richmond Hill. In September, 2015 the parkette was reopened with an unveiling of a tribute to Terry Fox, who had run past this very spot 35 years earlier. This week seemed like the most appropriste time to publish this cache as thousands of school children will run and raise funds in honour of Fox's efforts to raise awareness.
At the posted coordinates is a map as well as a word wall: information for calculating stage two can be found on these and should be easy to spot. This cache is recommended for finding in daylight as the park is only partially lit at night. The final is a short walk away.
North Coordinates
Find out the total number of kilometres run (four-digit number). Substitute digits as follows:
N43 52.ABC
A = 1st digit
B = 3rd digit minus the 2nd digit
C = 4th digit
West Coordinates
Find out the number of kilometres per day (two-digit number) and multiply that by the number of words in the question that Richmond Hill residents were asked (their answers were used to construct the word wall). You should get a three-digit number. Add 0.009 to this number. This is your new west seconds (W079 26._ _ _).
The hide is wheelchair and mobility accessible. There is, appropriately, a toonie for FTF in it.
Congratulations to Ppulcher, HumaHuma, and LOLster on the FTF!
