Geocache Description:

The return of daylighting saving is the final excuse you need to dust off the GPS and get out geocaching again (for those who hibernate over winter). In two weeks time (22-24 Oct) will be the NZ Geocaching Adventure 2016 event in Turangi. Today's event provides an opportunity for those planning on attending the Turangi event to see if car-pooling is an option or to hear from the experienced pros what goes on at a "mega" type event.

This is a social event for the Wellington geocaching community. Also if you attended the CITO event earlier in the day at Pauatahanui (GC6RJD1), you might be looking to try for the "Seven Cache Types in a Day Challenge" (GC5PAD6). It's a simple meet and greet at a pub where you can catch up with other local geocachers. Come and enjoy a cold (or warm) drink, grab a feed and chat about all things geocaching:

maybe glean a hint to help you solve that nemesis cache

plan a geocaching adventure together?

boast about recent exploits?

put a face to the name of the FTF racers?

make some contacts for a handy PAF when stuck in the field?

discover or swap some trackables
