All Geocacher's are warmly welcomed, to join
The Imp to celebrate
The Event Of The Century!
It all started almost 8 years ago at this very same venue in 2009 with an event called Proud to be a Yellowbelly.

This being my first event and after much research it was only the second event to be held in the county of Lincolnshire.
Those were the days, when events were few, in fact many would travel over a hundred miles just to attend one as they where so rare.
How things have changed over the years too. I recall doing a search on Geocaching, to find that 1000 caches would take me out from Lincoln, well beyond a 50 mile radius (2500 sq miles).
Yet now that same number is less than 25 miles (625 sq miles). Things are most definitely not the same.
Back to the original event in Lincolnshire. The venue was held at The Pride of Lincoln Hotel, Lincoln, on Sunday 11th January 2009 and was supported by names you may still see on logs nowadays such as. Big Fish (know then as Fishteers, Busy Lizzy Bunch, John NW, Squiffs, Lincolnshire Mountaineer, lathama, adrianjohn to name but a few. Some of these folks have since retired from the game, but many still frequent events to this day.
Today will be my 100th event. With 97 traditional events and 3 CITO's under my belt, I felt it would be nice to celebrate at the original location with a meal or drink with friends who I have met over the years. Since the original event, I have supported the following Mega Event teams with side events; Perth, Ayr, Cartmel, Essex & North Wales. I have held 3 events in Spain too and 1 on Puerto Rico. Literally thousands have attended over the years!
I hope you can make it to this event, and rekindle old friendships but if your new to caching, feel free to join us for an hour or two and enjoy chatting the evening away.
To get there, from the A46 Lincoln bypass. Look out for a large building that has a windmill in it with no sails (This is the location you’re going to). Next to this building on it’s southern side, turn off the A46 onto Whispy Road. Take the next left into Kingsley Road and again the next left into Runcorn Road. The Hotel is at the end of the road and has a very large car park, so the more the merrier.
If your new to Geocaching, this is the ideal event for you. We don’t bite, we are very friendly folk and we will always give you a warm welcome. Go on, try it!
Food and refreshments will be available over the bar. Its very informal meet and a good opportunity to put a face to one of those names!
