Leaving your legacy is about living a life with purpose. Its about living and not just existing. How will people remember you? Francis Light's legacy was the establishment of this beautiful island, Penang. Originally established in 1786 under the name Prince of Wales Island until 1867 when it became known as Penang. Francis Light is buried in this cemetery where his legacy of being the founder of Penang continues to this day.
This geocache is being left by a group of students from Dalat International School from Ziemer Dorm. We are leaving our legacy with the creation of this Geocache. The container is a small to medium size plastic box and its' contents are items representing who we are as individuals and the legacy we hope to leave with our lives. Have fun exploring the cemetary and while you wander through the maze of grave stones, ask yourself, "What will YOUR legacy be?". *Cache is hidden 60 paces Southeast of Francis Light's Tomb. p.s. I was recently informed that our cache had been tampered with and was missing. I today, January 16, 2017, I visited the site and placed a new cache. Happy hunting! :)
