We placed a geocahce for obvious reasons. Derek was our son and he would have been CRAZY about geocaching. The ballpark was designed and built with the help of the City of Fennimore, by Steve Lendosky, Derek's father, in 2004. Stop on over to the other field to get it's story as well. The creation of these two ballparks has provided many fun-filled nights for the youth and the adults of this community. The Derek Lendosky Community Field was dedicated in 2014 in memory of Derek Lendosky, a 9-yr old boy who lost his life tragically in a farm accident on August 4, 2013. Proceeds from his life insurance, along with contributions from his family and many donations to Derek's Memorial Fund, have helped create what you see before you. p>
