This cache is in the little town of Latrobe along a portion of the El Dorado Trail, which follows the rails of the non operational Placerville-Sacramento Valley Railroad. There are many access points to the trail, but the nearest is where the railroad tracks crosses Latrobe Road near Latrobe Triangle Road. Beware, there are rattle snakes in this area, just as in many wild parts of El Dorado County, take caution. Have fun finding the cache!
And remember, these tracks are non operational but always be careful on railroad tracks!
