Cache is located in beautiful Hungry Mother State Park and is placed with permission of the park staff. The park is generally open dawn to dusk but there are areas open 24/7. There is a parking fee of $7.00.
In 1933 the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) began construction of Hungry Mother and five other state parks. On June 15, 1936 the six-park Virginia State Park System was Official dedicated with public ceremonies at Hungry Mother State Park. Over 5000 people attended.
The cache is along the Lake Trail and you are looking for a pill bottle. No need to leave the trail.
