Well, the North Branch trail has finally been extended. The first leg of the long-awaited North Branch Trail Extension opened on Wednesday. The stretch runs from Forest Glen to West Devon Avenue and North Caldwell Avenue, in Edgebrook, on the Northeast Side. It’s one of the biggest bike/pedestrian projects underway in the city, and the new connection extends the trail all the way north to the Chicago Botanic Garden. It’s completely lovely, as the full trail—beyond the extension—crosses through 18 miles of Forest Preserve.

"The trail extension makes it easier for Chicago residents to access the North Branch Trail, and the trip on the NBT up to the Chicago Botanic Gardens is one of the best bicycle day trips in the region," Greenfield told Chicagoist in an email. "The scenery is great and you almost always encounter some super-tame deer."





You will be solving for North 41 59.ABC West 087 45.XYZ

At GZ, you will find a number of distinct yellow signs;
A = the number of individual yellow signs on the post.

On the bridge near posted, you will find a silver plaque talking about Elmira;
B = the last two digits of the Serial # added together.

On the same plaque, look at the box to the right of the Maximum GVW;
C = Sum of all the individual digits

Look for the Pedestrian Load
X = the first digit of the PSF

Now you need to cross the bridge and count the individual vertical supports on the west side of the bridge.
YZ = The total number of supports - X
