CACHE IS NOT AT THE POSTED COORDINATES. Answer the questions below to get the coordinates for the final cache location. This Multi Cache will introduce you to some of Brewster’s key historical locations all within a short walking distance. To locate the final stage, use the following template: N 40 42.ABC W 081 36.DEF
To solve for A and B, go to the posted coordinates. There you will find a plaque on the side of the WANDLE House.
To find A - The school was constructed and dedicated in 192_. To find A, fill in the blank and subtract 3.
To find B - The building was razed in 200_. To find B, fill in the blank and subtract 4.
To solve for C and D, you will need to go approximately 90 feet Southeast to the front of the building (N 40 42.771 W 081 35.875). There you will see a flag pole with a commemorative plaque in front. You will need to use the information on the sign to solve for C and D.
To find C - Captain Edward E. Kamph gave the ultimate sacrifice for his country on November 18, 196_. To find C, fill in the blank and subtract 5.
To find D - The flag pole was donated in 200_. To find D, fill in the blank and subtract 1.
Standing at the same location, you will be able to see the Wheeling and Lake Erie Railway Headquarters building. Look at the West side of the building to answer E and F.
To find E - You will need to count the number of windows on the West side of the building. To find E, subtract 19 from the total number of windows.
To find F - Count the number of room air conditioner units in the windows on the West side of the building. To find F, add 1 to the total number of air conditioner units.
Hint: A+B+C = 9 D+E+F = 11
For the final stage of the cache, you will be looking for a medium-sized container with room for trade items and travel bugs.
You likely won't encounter a lot of other people, but keep an eye out for others.
Bring your own pen / pencil to sign the log.
