15 vuotta! [FI]

Jälleen on maanmainioin syy juhlia! Suomen ensimmäisestä geokätköilijöiden miitistä on vierähtänyt Jo puolitoista vuosikymmentä. Kaikki kätköilijät ystävineen ja perheineen ovat tervetulleita tähän suureen lämminhenkiseen 15-vuotismiittiin. Geokansan oma juhla pidetään esikuvansa ja 10-vuotismiitin mukaisesti luonnonkauniissa Lammassaaressa Helsingissä, upean Pohjolan Pirtin pihapiirissä. Kuvia ensimmäisestä vajaan kymmenen osallistuneen nimimerkin miitistä löytyy täältä ja alkuperäisiä lokivihkokirjauksia täältä.

Saareen pääsee kävellen hienoja vastikään uusittuja pitkos- tai pikemmin poikkispuita pitkin (ei polkupyöriä) tai veneellä (ks. laiturin reittipiste). Koirien tulee olla koko ajan kytkettyinä, ellei satu poikkeamaan Pornaistenniemen design-koirapuistoon leikkimään.

Raittiusyhdistys Koiton vuonna 1905 valmistunut Pohjolan Pirtti sijaitsee Lammassaaren korkeimmalla kohdalla. Pirtille vievä polku itse saaressa on paikoin jyrkähkö ja juurakkoinen. Lastenrattaiden kanssa reitin viimeinenkin T2-osuus kyllä onnistuu pienellä vaivannäöllä. Pyörätuolillakin pääsee nykyään Lammassaareen saakka, mutta ei ikävä kyllä ihan miittipaikalle asti pirtin pihapiiriin. Mikäli et pysty kulkemaan pirtille asti, voit osallistua miittiin myös reittipisteeessä "T1 loppuu / The end of T1".

Ilmaisia parkkipaikkoja on tarjolla annetun pysäköintireittipisteen tienoilla kohtuullisesti, mutta busseillakin pääsee hyvin lähelle. Lähimmät bussipysäkit ovat Annalantie (3047) ja Tekniikan museo (3069). Annalantien pysäkin luona on myös kaupunkipyörien asema. Omille polkupyörille on pysäköintitilaa Polun pää -reittipisteen luona.

Synttärikekkereihin kannattaa tulla pitemmänkin taipaleen takaa, koska monia hienoja ja huiman suosittuja kätköjäkin on tarjolla suoraan reissun varrella tai aivan lähimaastossa. (Suosikkilista on tarjolla myös ei-premium -jäsenille kuvana.) Alla olevaan opaskarttaan on merkitty kulkureitti Lammassaareen sekä reitille tai sen lähelle osuvat suosikkigeokätköt.

Aloitellaan geoseikkailijoiden viisitoistavuotissyysrieha klo 15.00 ja viihdytään paikalla klo 18.00 saakka. Tarjoilut hoidetaan jo perinteiseen tapaan nyyttäriperiaatteella. Kerro siis Aion osallistua -lokissasi, jos aiot tuoda jotakin yhteiseen juhlapöytään. Tarjoilut katetaan pirtin tilavan terassin suojiin. Inspiraatiota voi etsiskellä kymmenvuotismiitin herkkutarjoiluista. Mikäli mahdollisuus myös grillata omia eväitään toteutuu, siitä tiedotetaan tällä sivulla viimeistään miittipäivän aamuna.

15 years!

Once again it's time to have lots of fun! The first official geocachers' meeting in Finland was held here on Lammassaari island one and a half decades ago with less than ten attending nicks. All geocachers together with their friends and families are welcome to celebrate the 15^th anniversary of the First Finnish Event-Cache. Let's start at 3 p.m. and finish at 6 p.m.

Getting to the beautiful Lammassaari island is easy. The brand-new causeway (no bicycles allowed) to the island starts at the waypoint given below. Dogs must be kept leached at all times with the exception of the specially designed dog park on Pornaistenniemi peninsula.

Thanks to the new wider causeway the island is today accessible to strollers as well as to wheelchairs. Unfortunately the exact event location in the yard of Pohjolan Pirtti is not, however, wheelchair accessible. The path from the end of the causeway to the exact event location is relatively steep with lots of (surface) roots. In case you are not able to make it up the hill you are welcome to attend the event at the waypoint "T1 loppuu / The end of T1".

There are some free parking spaces at the given Parking waypoint but people are encouraged to use public transport. The nearest bus stops are Annalantie (3047) and Tekniikan museo (3069). Next to the Annalantie bus stop there is also a City bike station.

Lammassaari and its neighbourhood is famous for the many remarkably favourited geocaches of very high quality. (For non-premium members there is available a picture of the local favourite list.) In the guide map below you'll find the route to the island in addition to the favourite geocaches situated more or less straight along the route.

This time, too, the catering will be organised according to potluck principle. Please tell it in your "Will attend" log if you're able to bring something to the shared table. In case there will be a possibility to barbecue your own food, it will be informed at this site in the event day morning, at the latest.
